VIVA Volunteering, is a non-profit , apolitical and independent organization. It was established in June, 2012 in Chiapas (Mexico), as an initiative to create new volunteer opportunities for those who want to make the most of their travels and do it with purpose and awareness. We strongly believe in the abillities of the communities to develop, hence we work in different community areas such as health, culture, education, the environment, and supporting disabled people, among others.
Our volunteer organization, was created to become a free space, where young generations can develop their skills and aptitudes by promoting cultural diversity, solidarity and respect through voluntary work, aspiring volunteers to grow into agents of change within their own communities.
We generate opportunities to empower communities by performing social and cultural projects.
The VIVA Volunteering organization team, is integrated by previous volunteers, who had been actively participating in social projects within communities, families and youth groups. We are professionals who strongly believe in the transformation of our communities through voluntary work. We work our best to provide an unforgettable experience to our volunteers and hopefully, just like us, they will make volunteering their lifestyle.
VIVA is also all the people who had been once part of our team and made a great impact. They are local and online volunteers and ex-volunteers who have played an important role in helping us settle and be what we are today.

Our approach is to consolidate ourselves as a participative institution with social, educational and environmental awareness, as well as, becoming a reference in national and international volunteering service. Encouraging and promoting the participation of youth leaders to transform and develop their communities by gaining knowledge in abroad volunteer experiences.
VIVA Volunteering firmily believes that volunteering is an agent of change. Volunteering is the mean by which people manifest their human values such as generosity, tolerance and respect for cultural, personal and social differences, altruism and solidarity towards personal and social development.
